Having trouble staying positive lately? Try these tips

Your life is like a beautiful piece of art where you are the artist. You are the only one that knows how to create your unique masterpiece!

Think about all the colors, though, that you miss out on by choosing to think negatively. Positive thoughts feed your mind with a super food. This super food—hope—enables clarity and wellbeing, it repairs and heals and lets us dream, introducing us to the very colors that we’d like to paint our realities with.

Imagine how much you can do, and how much farther you can go in life, if you trained your mind to think and act positively—to think constructively. Imagine how much stronger your access to creativity and intuition would be if positivity was the predominant energy in your mind.

To help our brains focus on the positive, especially during this uncertain time, please consider trying the following tips:

  • Journal 4–5 beautiful things that you observe the first hour you wake up.

  • Throughout the day, as you see things that help you turn to positive thoughts, and make you a smile, replace one of those four things that you originally wrote.

  • Practice mindfulness, meditation.

  • Exercise! Try to do some cardio—any type running, walking, hiking, bike ridding, dancing, etc. What makes your body move!

  • To heighten the balance between your mind and body, try practices such as yoga, tai chi, or qigong.

  • Listen to music, or choose a specific song, that gives you great memories. That can provide you some magic when needed.

  • Have fun! Get lost in the “flow” state by of doing an activity that you’re passionate about and that challenges you. It can be anything of your choice. For example, writing, drawing, painting, cooking, knitting, etc. Whatever makes you feel great and helps you shift your energy to the positive.

With a smile from my heart,
